Construction Progress Accelerates Across CCA Fields and Relief Road Scheme

Work continues at pace throughout the CCA Fields and surrounding land, with major progress on both the new sports facilities and the wider Cullompton Relief Road project. The area is seeing one of its busiest periods of development in years, with improvements designed to benefit local clubs, residents and the wider community.
🌿 Sports Facilities: New Football Pitch Taking Shape
The new football pitch is now well under way and entering a key phase of development. Floodlights are being fitted, marking a major milestone for future evening training and match use. Grass seed has already been laid and is beginning to establish, helping prepare the surface for play later in the year.
The next stage of the project will see construction begin on the new dressing rooms and car park, providing modern facilities and improved access for players, coaches and supporters. With multiple teams set to benefit from the upgraded space, this investment will significantly enhance sporting opportunities within the CCA Fields.
🚧 Relief Road Progress
Construction linked to the Cullompton Town Centre Relief Road continues across nearby land. The relief road designed to ease congestion on the High Street and improve air quality has required a series of enabling works within and around the CCA Fields, including new access routes and ecological preparation.
The road will eventually connect Station Road to Duke Street, creating a vital alternative route through the town. As work progresses, the improvements being delivered within the CCA Fields ensure that community access, recreation and sports activity can continue safely and with better facilities than before.

It’s all go throughout the fields and across the surrounding land. From new pathways and bridges to upgraded sports pitches and essential infrastructure works, the area is undergoing a period of significant positive change.
